We're Even More Famous!

Not long ago, we had a post that showed the construction workers putting up this sign right across the street from our school. It was great to see the art work up there every day.


But look's like the art is a traveling exhibit! Now the sign is hanging on the other side of the site--near the rotary. Now runners look as they jog by. Walkers on their cells don't stop talking, but they turn their heads and take it in. And the drivers circling the rotary take a gander too.


Hopefully just a quick peek and then get their eyes back on the road!

Fences, Part 2

Work on the fence surrounding Phase 1 of Old Colony's renovation continues.


















And so does the discussion in the classroom. Ms.Haney's first graders had many ideas about why we have fences.

















Ms. Meadows' third grade class had some suggestions too.

Work Started Today!

The work on Old Colony is finally starting! Suffolk Construction Company is putting a fence all around the first part of the housing project that is being knocked down and rebuilt. It is right across from our school.


So the students in Ms. Leverett-King's first grade class got to work too. They thought about some of the reasons why people put up fences (including construction companies!). Remember, you can click on any picture to make it bigger.
